Q2. - I dress well but I spoil my look because I always seem to use the wrong colours in makeup. What can I do?

Answer - Having a colour analysis done will assist you in two ways

  • allow you to choose colours in clothing and accessories to enhance your skin tone, eyes and hair colour.
  • give you information about foundation colour, eye shadow and blusher colours as well as best mascara and eye colours and of course colours for lipsticks which "anchor" the face.

Q3. - My lips are quite thin. What can I do to give them a fuller look?

Answer -

  • Use a lip liner and lightly trace your lip line on the outer edge of your lips
  • Fill your lips in with your lip liner and apply your lipstick
  • Then apply a small amount of gloss to the middle of your lower lip and your top lip area where you want the look of fullness.
  • Applying a very small amount of light colour foundation in the hollow above your top lip can also make the top lip appear more full.
  • Remember! dark colours will make small and thin lips appear smaller

Q4 - I have big protruding eyes. I know that I need to shade them but I always end up looking like a drag queen. How can I reduce the protrusion and still look like me?

Answer - Many people with your eye type know about doing the "smokey eye look". The mistakes they often make is to use a double black and not blend enough.

  • Consider charcoal and soft group purples etc.
  • Brown eyes can wear any colour eye shadow and look great.

You may like to consider having an individual make up lesson to learn how to use the technique because apart from eye protrusion, the shape of your eyes will need to be considered.

Q5 - I have over plucked my eyebrows and now they look really thin making my face look hard. I am desperate to fix this problem because it gives the wrong impression at work and also socially

Answer - The very worst thing you can do is pencil a thin line of colour onto your eyebrows.

  • you may need to source a product to help your eyebrow hair grow.
  • you would probably benefit from learning how to apply eyebrow pencil and powder.
  • you may also benefit from having a chat to your local doctor to discuss a product some women who have had breast cancer use post treatment to help them grow hair again.
